Regan Marie Nelson is an American playwright, residing in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She has been involved in theatre from a very young age as a playwright, actress, director, and producer and has held various production support positions, as well as served on two community theatre Board of Directors, for Twin Beach Players (North Beach, MD) and New Direction Community Theater (St. Leonard, MD). She also founded the Twin Beach Players Youth Troup in 2008, where she directed several of their productions annually with the Annual Kids’ Playwriting Festival, as well as adapting A CHRISTMAS CAROL twice and directing it with an all youth cast.
She also served as guest director at Mt. Harmony Elementary School (Owings, MD) for productions of “WILLIE WONKA, JR..”, “THE LITTILE MERMAID, JR..”, “THE JUNGLE BOOK, JR.,” and “MY SON PINOCCHIO, JR..”
Ms. Nelson founded the Anne Arundel County, Maryland theatre group, Write Here Onstage, which is composed of volunteers who write and perform all original stage plays in Maryland. She is currently the resident playwright and Artistic Director. There she has had the opportunity to write and direct five of her original shows, as well as perform in two of them.
